ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) Services

ISDN allows you to integrate many types of communication services (for example, text, voice, data and video files), into a single network ............... However, most the services delivered via ISDN yesterday are being delivered today ............... via IP.

 - BT (British Telecommunications)
We can either provide new BT network circuits, or take over your current BT Retail ISDN2 or ISDN30 managed services, without moving them off the BT network.

We offer three variants of BT ISDN services. To find out more information relating to each of them, please click on the links below :-

(1). ISDN2e - One copper circuit containing two channels of ISDN, each operating at up to 64 Kbps speed.

(2). ISDN Highway - One copper circuit providing proprietary (basic rate) ISDN, and/or two analogue services.

(3). ISDN30 - One copper or fibre circuit consisting of up to thirty channels of ISDN, each operating at up to 64 Kbps speed.

- COLT (City of London Telecom)

COLT's most recent addition to their ISDN provision is called COLT Total (minimum of 30 voice channels and 1 mgb of IP). COLT Total is a cost-effective integrated package of high-speed Internet and voice services designed to meet the requirements of midsize businesses.

COLT Total can be provided either as a new installation or as a replacement to your existing service, for example, your BT ISDN30 bearer (with your existing phone numbers normally being retained).

COLT fibre is presented via a fully managed router that connects to your existing traditional TDM PBX via basic rate or primary rate interfaces (BRI and PRI). In addition to this, an Ethernet connection on the router is also provided to deliver a minimum of a 1 mgb IP connectivity with a 1:1 contention ratio.

COLT Total - IP Centrex Service
Instead of having to purchase and maintain your own PBX infrastructure, you simply connect IP phones to COLT ’s centrally-hosted IP PBX infrastructure.

Because the service is network-based your employees can log on to any IP phone at any of your sites and their settings are automatically downloaded to it.

Your IP handsets or Softphone client (software installed on your PC) are connected to COLT ’s Softswitch through the COLT IP Access service. This connects your LAN and local router directly to the COLT IP network, which routes both the calls and signaling. The call media stream and signaling are carried in secure tunnels across the COLT IP network.

COLT Total's voice and IP delivery is scaleable up to whatever level you require and also offers a number of optional extras :-

Security
COLT can add firewall software to the router to turn it into a managed secure router. This provides features such as stateful packet filtering on the IP address and port number, protection against IP address spoofing, and screening of the protected networks. Basic logging is supported as well as configuration of a less-trusted zone known as a demilitarised zone (DMZ), where customer-facing servers traditionally reside

IP Mail
This provides an e-mail platform that requires no infrastructure on your site. E-mail can be accessed via a Web browser or a client such as Microsoft® Outlook®. Support for POP/IMAP and anti-spam and anti-virus software are included.

IP Web
This option is available as either Standard, for basic website functionality, or Advanced, supporting a more transaction-orientated website. The service includes all the tools necessary to create and run your own website.
